IIfET and AIfET proudly announce that since the recognition of EV technology as the way forward but the market lack harmonization and standardization for names, new vocabulary, definitions and variables to establish a common universal language. IIfET and AIfET undertake the task to collect data and information for a wider catalogue that becomes a unique dictionary for electric transportation and related topics.

In order to shift completely from the oil and petrol economy, the ICE and the automotive industry, IIfET and AIfET are creating new norms to be copied and utilized, while we continue building and constructing a fully technical dictionary.

Here is some of both institutes definitions, always subject to modification, because the essence is education and education only:

It is the industry term for all electric cars and vehicles that use purely electric energy. It also applies to economic sector, Electro-Automotive technicians, engineers and specialists. The use of “Mechanic” is not appropriate as it relates to ICE but it should be replaced as Electro-Automotive worker/ work force, syndicate or union.

Electro-Automotive Solar:
It is the type of energy and energy devices that convert solar energy into electric energy to power any part of the vehicle.


It is the type of any electric energy injected in the battery system while the vehicle is moving from renewable sources only.

Micro-Generative Technology:
It is the type of technology that is generated by small devices with small voltages but replicated in number to accumulate 14-18 volts, which can be utilized to charge batteries and by using inverters and converters.

Generative Module:
It is a micro device that capable of converting mechanical and magnetic energies into electric energy with small voltages.


Long Range:
It is a benchmark to designate long range vehicle or technology unless it achieves and crosses the bar of 500 miles or 805 kilometers on one single charge.

Vehicle To Grid (V2G) or Wheel To Wire (W2W):
It is the electric energy generated by electric vehicles and transferred to the grid. The technology is more beneficial when it is applied to a fleet of vehicles. An advanced technology will make a fleet of vehicles as a power sub-station to be tapped in when a surge in energy is needed. An advanced electric vehicle will provide the same capability to a household sooner or later.

Electric Train to Green Grid (ET2GG):
It is the excess energy generated by electric trains’ network from renewable sources, related directly to the network, significant in term of megawatts generated, that is exported to a purely green grid in intelligent infrastructures, interacting with road electrification, electric transportation and future intelligent cities and towns. The same green grid is capable of charging EV’s in a charging stations by roads and highways.
